Lego Man Marshmellow Pop

This was the favor at Logan's birthday party this year. They were very easy and turned out super cute once I figured out the best way to decorate the face. I tried the Wilton edible pens and they did not work. I actually went through two boxes because I took the first one back thinking it was dull.  I ended up using a Betty Crocker Cookie Icing bag. This worked perfectly. I couldn't very detailed, but as you can see they turned out great anyway.

Lego Pops
15 Jumbo Campfire Marshmallows
8 Regular size marshmallows
2 Bags of yellow Wilton melting chocolate
Shortening
Black Icing writer
15 Popsicle sticks
Cake pop rack or piece of styrofoam

Melt chocolate according to package. Add shortening to reach desired consistency. Cut smaller marshmallows in half. Dab a small amount of icing on the small marshmallow and stick it to the top of the large marshmallow. insert the popsicle stick end into the melted chocolate and then into the bottom of the large marshmallow. Dip entire marshmallow into the chocolate. Rotate the stick to spin off the chocolate. Let dry in the cake pop rack or styrofoam. You can place the pops in the freezer to speed up drying time. Use the icing writer to decorate the face.
