Happy Birthday Wreath

Here is my new tradition.  I am going to paint a letter for each of my family members and at the start of the month of their birthday, the wreath will go up with the first letter of their name.  I think this will be a fun tradition to add to the excitement of their birthday.

Here is what you'll need to make your own wreath...

Birthday Wreath

Straw wreath
3 72ct pkgs of balloons
floral pins
wooden letters
3 strands of mardi gras beads

Here are the floral pins I used. They look like straight pins with a white pearl on the ends.

Take 3 balloons and position them different ways and push a pin through the middles.  Push them into the wreath.

Continue to push the balloons all the way around, making sure to overlap the balloons so that no straw is peeking through until you go all the way around.

Once the wreath is full, cut the string of the mardi gras beads so you have one long strand. Push the pin through the end of the string of the beads and push into the wreath. Continue to pin the beads as desired.

Paint the wood letter. Glue a clip to the back of the letter and pin to the wreath.
