Chili Macaroni Soup

I love chili! I think there is nothing better than a big bowl of chili on a cold day. This soup is the next best thing, especially if you don't have a few hours to cook dinner. I have had this recipe for about five years and I get excited for the cold weather to come so I can make it.

Chili Macaroni Soup

1lb lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 15 oz cans chili beans
1 15oz can tomato sauce
5 cups hot water
1 package Hamburger Helper Chill Mac
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 15 oz cans chili ready diced tomatoes
a 15 oz can whole kernel corn, undrained
1 small can sliced black olives

Brown beef with onion. Drain and transfer to a stock pot. Stir in beans, tomato sauce, hot water, sauce mix, chili powder, garlic powder, salt and tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add uncooked pasta, corn and olives. Cover and cook 10 minutes.
